Acasta Reef is a small Indonesian island in the middle of the South China Sea. It is located between the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, and the West Coast of Borneo. It is fairly remote from surrounding land mass, which means that it can only be reached by liveaboard vessels.
Badas Islands is a volcanic group of ten small volcanic islands in the Tudjuh Archipelago in the South China Sea between the Malaysian mainland to the west and the island of Borneo to the east. Administratively it is part of the Riau Islands province of Indonesia.
The main town and administrative centre is Bandanaira, located on the island of the same name. They rise out of 4-to-6-kilometers deep ocean and have a total land area of approximately 45.6 square kilometers. They had a population of 18,544 at the 2010 Census.
